With new cart paths and other updates in 2016, The Cove remains a remarkable golfing destination.

When Harold Koplar opened The Lodge of Four Seasons in 1964, he had a vision of offering the greatest resort in the Midwest. Knowing the greatest resort would require a golf course designed by one of the greatest golf architects, he hired the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. to design the Lodge’s signature course. The Cove opened in 1973 and has been challenging golfers of all skill levels ever since.

With 72 bunkers, rolling hills and water coming into play on nine of the holes, this par-71 course is anything but tame. The four sets of tees tip out at 6,553 yards but start at 5,172, so players of all abilities can enjoy its classic design. In typical RTJ fashion, The Cove is a target golf course putting an emphasis on getting the ball in play off of the tee.

Every golfer will leave with a memory of hole 4, our signature par 3. Whether you tee it up from the red tees at 110 yards or let it rip from the 230-yard blue tees, it’s all carryover from the Lake’s famed “Witch’s Cove.” The Cove’s classic design and breathtaking views of the Lake leave golfers wanting another shot at this legendary golf course.
