Cool Off With a Cave Tour, and the Midwest Wine & Brew Fest

August 07, 2017

This month, the Lake of the Ozarks is featuring two fabulous ways to beat the August heat. First, explore the cool underground with a Lake of the Ozarks State Park Cave Tour. Guests can view the unusual attraction of Angel Showers as part of the Ozark Caverns tour, along with numerous helictites and stalagmites. The Caverns is also home to four species of bats, 16 species of invertebrates, and four species of salamanders, including the blind grotto salamander. Visitors can choose from children’s tours (only through August 15th) and interpretive tours. For more information, call (573) 346-2500.

Next, hit the Midwest Wine & Brew Festival on August 19th for some cool beverages and hot music. This highly-anticipated event is one of the state’s most popular summer festivals, and features beer and wine from a lineup of brewers and wineries statewide. There will be live entertainment, and food will be provided by regional vendors and restaurants. 21 and over only, hours are from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. For details, call (573)-964-1008 or email:
